Barbara Morrison is the founder and president of TMC Financing, a certified development company that provides Small Business Administration (SBA) commercial real estate financing. TMC has provided U.S. Small Business Administration funding of over $10 billion, for real estate developments in California, Nevada, and Arizona since 1981, helping almost 6,000 firms and creating and retaining an estimated 60,000 jobs throughout the region. Barbara Morrison established TMC Community Capital (TMC CC) in 2018 to give a low-cost alternative to internet lenders who take advantage of small business owners. TMC Community Capital uses technology and innovation to deliver loans that are quick and transparent on a scalable platform. Morrison discovered her interest in small company economic development while working as the deputy director of the Mayor’s Office of Economic Development in San Francisco. Barbara is a former mayor and member of the Belvedere City Council. She has received widespread recognition for her advocacy for women and small business owners, as well as her leadership of several community groups.
